Guideline on Estimating Soil Quality Index (SQI)

The guideline on estimating the soil quality index released, laboratory facilities upgraded at Significant highest made tea yield of 3800 kg ha-1 yr-1 was obtained in 100% N (through Nano HA Urea) + 100% K (through MOP) in 4 splits and recorded 35% yield increment compared to current recommendation.
Highest bush development observed from cultivar TRI 2023, under irrigated conditions, then under rain-fed conditions while growth differences were not significant with TRI 2027 and TRI 4004.

Quantification of Soil CO2 emission

Soil CO2 emission, i.e. soil respiration was quantified for all the tea growing major soil series. It was highest in the low grown region, followed by mid grown region and it was lowest in the high grown region.
