TRI Scientists receive first place in National Awards for Excellence in Agricultural Research 2017

A group of TRI scientists received the first place in National Awards for Excellence in Agricultural Research 2017 for Plantation Sector organized by the Sri Lanka Council for Agricultural Research Policy, Ministry of Agriculture in consideration of the research on “Metabolite profiling of Sri Lankan tea germplasm”. The collaborative research team comprised with Dr. P.A.N. Punyasiri, Principle Investigator (Nature’s Beauty Creations), Mrs. B. Jeganathen (Faculty of Agriculture, Uni. Peradeniya), Mr. Dananjaya Kottawa-Arachchi (Plant Breeding Division, TRI) Dr. M.A.B. Ranatunga (Plant Breeding Division, TRI), Dr Kumudini Gunasekare (Ministry of Primary Industries), Dr. I.S.B. Abeysinghe (Director, TRI) and Prof. B.M.R. Bandara (Faculty of Science, Uni. Peradeniya).
