Training Session at St Vigeans Estate, Bogawantalawa on 04.09.2024

TRI conducted a training session at St Vigeans estate, Bogawantalawa on 04 September 2024 focusing on the importance of sustainable harvesting strategies and soil fertility management, essential for the long-term sustainability of the estate.

Dr. C J Liyanarachchi (Senior Advisory Officer), Mr. G S Pradeep (Advisory Officer), Mr R D Wijewickrama, Ms. K V Yapa and Ms. R L N Ranatunga (Extension Officers) from Advisory and Extension Division visited to the Estate and conducted the session as resource persons. Estate management and around 45 Nos. of field workers attended the session.

The session was focused on empowering the tea farming community through education and awareness.
