A new Extension Centre was established at Nivithigalakelle, Matugama for the benefit of the tea growers of the Kaluthara and Colombo Districts.
The new centre was declared open by the Hon. Minister of Plantations Industries, Mr. Mahinda Samarasinghe (MP) on 27th November 2010.
Senior officials of the MPI and Tea Research Institute were present at the event.
